KPLA to Participate in Pick.Click.Give for 2012

The Kodiak Public Library Association is once again part of the Alaska PFD Charitable Contributions Program.  In two short years, Pick.Click.Give has helped generate nearly $1.5 million for Alaska causes.

Pick.Click.Give is a safe and easy way to contribute to KPLA and a new library building for Kodiak.  When you go online to apply for your PFD, you will see the option called “The Gift of Giving.”  Follow the simple steps from there:

PICK our name on the list of organizations.
CLICK on Kodiak Public Library Association.
GIVE by following the instructions to make a donation.

You can contribute anywhere from $25 to the full amount of your dividend.  Please take the extra step to release your contact information to us so that we can thank you.

The only way to give through Pick.Click.Give is to file for your PFD online.  If you don’t have access to a computer, check with the library.

You can find more information about the PFD Charitable Contributions Program at http://www.PickClickGive.org.

Listen Alaska!

The Kodiak Public Library is joining other public libraries statewide as a subscriber to the Listen Alaska program. This cool program lets us “check out” audio books and ebooks for use on on personal computers. Reading a book that you don’t want to put down? Check out the audio version and keep listening while you go about your day.

If you have an opportunity, please pass on your thanks to the library staff and to members of the City Council for budgeting this service at our library.
