This money, in the amount of $500,000, will support the acquisition of furnishings, art, and landscaping during the summer 2013 season.

This will be one of the last official acts by Library Director, Joe D’Elia, who is retiring, effective June 22nd, after more than a decade of service as the Director. Please come down and say goodbye to Joe, and celebrate the Living, Learning and Growing campaign!

This cool program lets you “check out” audio books and ebooks for use on on personal computers and mobile devices. Reading a book that you don’t want to put down? Check out the audio version and keep listening while you go about your day. (to access the links on this post, click on Listen Alaska! title to review the complete post, the links will be available)

Download the Listen AK brochure for more information.

If you have an opportunity, please pass on your thanks to the library staff and to members of the City Council for budgeting this service at our library.
