For years, Kodiak residents have dreamed of a new library. The Kodiak Public Library Association has been supporting Kodiak’s library since 1953. A new library is an important investment for our community, and we’re committed to helping Kodiak’s library be one that everyone supports and believes in.
KPLA has entered into an agreement with the City Council to lead a capital campaign process to raise funding from within our own community and from creative outside sources. We believe participation as residents and library users will bring us a well-vetted, thoughtful and beautiful library. A library is the imagination and dream of a community and it’s a project we all can own.
We will work hard to keep you—the public—involved and informed. You will find answers to many questions, and information about our activities in these pages. We look forward to our future library!
